Understanding the geological structure beneath the Earth's surface is essential for applications such as energy exploration, geothermal development, and reservoir management. One of the most important sources of subsurface information is well log data. Automated methods can assist geoscientists in analyzing these datasets more efficiently. The GeoWerkstatt project of the month adds sequential relationships of well log data to existing methods in order to improve the models' ability to capture meaningful geological patterns.

Info GeoWerkstatt - Insights into research

he GeoWorkshop appears monthly here on this website. Scientists take turns reporting on their current research projects in the field of geodesy and geoinformatics. The Geodetic Institute (GIH), the Institute of Geodesy (IfE), the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformatics (IKG), and the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation (IPI) are all involved.
