Photogrammetry Congress: Best Young Author Award

Mirjana Voelsen, M.Sc., Institute for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (IPI) received the Best Young Author Award of Commission III, dealing with remote sensing, for her contribution "Investigating 2D and 3D convolutions for multitemporal land cover classification using remote sensing images", presented at the XXIV Congress of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) in June 2022 in Nice.

During the congress, the six-year presidency of Prof. Christian Heipke, Head of the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation (IPI), came to an end. The congress had been postponed for 2 years due to the Corona pandemic and the term had been extended accordingly. For the next 4 years Christian Heipke will be part of the ISPRS Council as Past President.
