Geosensor Nets

Qualification Goals

The students get to know the technology of geosensor networks. They work on the basic aspects of sensor technology, communication and distributed, decentralized data processing. At the end of this module, students will be able to implement and evaluate the methods, assess their possible applications and use them for various applications.

Contents of the Module

The course gives an overview of the fields of application of geosensor networks. Topics such as sensor technology, strategies for communication and decentralized, distributed processing of sensor data will be presented. In the exercises and a large final project, the procedures and methods will be implemented, analyzed and evaluated using the NetLogo language. The final project will be presented to all participants in a presentation.
