Awards for young scientists

Awards for outstanding theses: On Friday, October 20, 2023, nine young scientists at Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) received promotional awards from the Victor Rizkallah Foundation and the NiedersachsenMetall Foundation at Leibnizhaus. Among them are five graduates of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science.

The ceremony was opened by the founder and Vice Chairman of the Foundation, Prof. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Victor Rizkallah. After a welcoming speech by the chairman of the foundation's board, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ludger Lohaus, seven awards of the Victor Rizkallah Foundation (including three prizes sponsored by the Foundation of the Construction Industry of Lower Saxony-Bremen) and two prizes from the Foundation NiedersachsenMetall were awarded.

Prizes totalling 6,000 euros were awarded.

  • Dr.-Ing. Dennis Wittich, Fakultät für Bauingenieurwesen und Geodäsie

A prize from the NiedersachsenMetall Foundation was awarded to:

  • Dr.-Ing. Lukas Kistner, Fakultät für Elektrotechnik und Informatik
  • M. Sc. Marcel Stöwer, Fakultät für Maschinenbau
